Luka

This is the completed line art for my RP character, Luka. The basis is a Historical Alternate Universe, combining elements of sci-fi and fantasy for an X-Men feel. Luka went the route of Nightcrawler, with his mutation physically visible. His power itself is shadow manipulation. He can create tangible beings from shadows. Not surprisingly, he is photosensitive and doesn't like sudden changes to bright light. He can also transport himself through shadows, much like Bengi from Vampire Hunter D - Bloodlust.

Well now...about the character. Poor little Luka is a bit lacking upstairs. Not that he isn't intelligent, he's got quite the IQ. But he is a bit on the paranoid-delusional side, always looking over his shoulder, skittish and jumpy, and god forbid you manage to sneak up on him. He might just call up one of his shadow creatures on accident. Particularly that big fellow behind him...yeah, that guy right there. Bad news. He's actually Luka's "alter ego" manifested through his powers, but Luka believes him to be a guardian spirit. Whaddya want from him? He was raised in a jungle. And no, I don't mean NYC. South American rainforest. But anyway, he is often found talking to these shadows, and will refer to himself in the third person when doing so. Any time he is actually conversing with someone (or in his case, something) else, he speaks of himself in the plural. He has a limited vocabulary, English being his second language, but that's perfectly fine with him. He doesn't talk much anyway.
